Our 100% Vermont farm raised and produced yarn is made from pure soft fine Cormo and Cormo crossbred sheep. This pristinely grown wool from coated sheep was scoured in Tunbridge, Vermont and then spun at the Green Mountain Spinnery. The scouring process uses only biodegradable soap and our yarn is spun with only vegetable oil.
This lively, soft 100% fine wool yarn is a natural elegant shade of light silver. It dyes beautifully and is soft enough to be worn comfortably against the skin. Even more importantly it is earth friendly and a sustainable Vermont farm product.

Our fibers are totally natural and therefore will naturally shrink according to how they are treated. When wool is wet – heat, moisture, agitation and sudden temperature changes can quickly cause felting. If you wish to minimize shrinkage, wash by hand in lukewarm water with a mild wool wash, do not agitate. Rinse in the same temperature and gently spin to remove excess water. Lay flat to dry. With proper care you can enjoy years of pleasure wearing your beautiful handmade garments.
